Plus you can still get Homeowners insurance up here. Not so much in old folks central, Central Florida.Barco Sin Vela IIhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15621907771132379553noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17194754360386448.post-18157983665734112292010-04-16T10:40:55.723-07:002010-04-16T10:40:55.723-07:00Ah. We never learn.

Your tales make me wanna re-locate to a place that is better served as far as beer choice goes. As a matter of fact, I saw a News Hour episode about the massive hit real estate prices have taken in the Tampa/St. Pete area... and I would not be above taking advantage of other peoples' misfortune where newly-affordable housing is concerned. But inertia is the second only to gravity in the pantheon of Strong Forces. In geezers, anyhoo.

Enjoy the weekend!Buckhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05319116022465066060noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17194754360386448.post-25181674899162667682010-04-16T09:50:47.121-07:002010-04-16T09:50:47.121-07:00Thanks for coming by, LL. Could be because we don't have a state income tax, for now.

I would rather hop on a boat and leave for a cruise until Nov 2012.Barco Sin Vela IIhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15621907771132379553noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17194754360386448.post-17303835147063520312010-04-16T08:40:25.101-07:002010-04-16T08:40:25.101-07:00The economy is getting worse and people are cuttin...The economy is getting worse and people are cutting corners in the hope of making it another week.

I was called to jury duty (of course I was not selected for the panel due to my background) and fully 75% of the people there reported that they were unemployed. Southern California has been especially hard hit by the recession. There are a LOT of closed businesses where I live and it's not improving here. I'm not whining because I'm fine - but it's depressing watching so many other people struggling.

My point: Jumping on the boat and leaving the veil of tears is a welcome relief.LLhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05538854359365988863noreply@blogger.com
