In the midst of a great weekend!

Picked up the first Fuller's London Pride keg in a couple years, and we finally have a proper English Bitter in the Veldt Lounge. Let's see how long we keep that kegerator alive!

Saturday night was spent at the yacht club where the Spousal Unit and myself enjoyed an "Evening in France" dinner. I had the Fois Gras, Steak Au Poivre and finished up with the Chocolat Mousse Parfait accompanied by a 2006 Mt Veeder (Almost) Meritage in the company of my favorite Academician/ Author, Pete Wludyka. The club  really did well in providing the victuals to a capacity crowd and I am very happy to have spent the evening with everyone involved.

The warm weather is back and we are walking and basking in the Florida sun. Nothing better than being here in springtime.

See you all soon, and hopefully on the water. Next voyage will be to St Augustine and I am working towards the planning and execution of that journey.

I'm sure that the Barco's Spousal Unit could also provide the same "evening in Paris" feat in the Barco's expansive galley.

Aboard the new planks Chimera we call it Steak Au Poivre bit it's actually a BBQ hamburger with no cognac sauce, slid between buns purchased at Costco with a wedge of tomato, a bit of onion and some mustard (yellow, not Grey Poupon) because that's what our substandard victualling officer whips up. And if you're good, a bag of chips. No English bitters either, not even grog. The victualling officer says that I need to return the keg to six-pack status - so Diet Coke is the best we can do here on the Left Coast. She says NO MIDRATS.

LL; "Diet Coke is the best we can do here on the Left Coast".

Expansive galley on the Barco is about 4' X 3' and the drink on board for the skipper is PBR. We do keep a drawer full of sodas in the fridge. A bbq's burger is right fine onboard. The fancy eats for the rich 'uns is at the club itself. ;)

Buck; Come on out for an evening in St Augustine. The wimmins are more attainable!
